Software development outsourcing, from requirements to launch.

You know the business problem. You need a partner to turn it into a working product and manage the engineering along the way. Rangein provides software development outsourcing for new applications, existing platforms and internal business tools.

Discuss your project

When this model fits

  • 01

You need a product built without assembling and managing a full delivery team internally.

  • 02

Your existing application needs a defined feature, integration or modernization project.

  • 03

You have a product owner who can set priorities, answer questions and accept the work.

What we can deliver

Product and technical discovery

Translate business requirements into user flows, a delivery backlog and technical decisions. Identify risky integrations, migration needs and assumptions that need testing before a final estimate.

Custom application development

Build the interfaces, backend services and data workflows your product requires. The agreed scope can include SaaS workspaces, customer portals, commerce systems or operational tools.

Quality and release preparation

Define test coverage around important user journeys, review code and prepare deployment. Agree on acceptance criteria, release responsibilities and rollback needs before launch.

Handover and continued development

Document the codebase, environments and operating procedures. Decide whether your team takes over, we continue with the roadmap, or a separate support agreement is needed.

Technology that fits your project

Share your existing stack and integrations. We assess compatibility, maintenance needs and the skills required before recommending a team or architecture.

Who is responsible for what

Your team

You set business priorities, provide product knowledge, make commercial decisions and accept the agreed deliverables. You also identify the people who can approve scope changes.

Rangein

We coordinate the agreed engineering scope, technical implementation, testing and delivery communication. Responsibilities for infrastructure, third-party vendors and post-launch support are defined in the proposal.

Outsourcing or outstaffing: how to choose

From first conversation to working software

  1. 01

    Review the starting point

Walk through the problem, users and existing systems. For an existing product, arrange appropriate access to documentation and the codebase.

  2. 02

Agree on the scope of work

Agree on deliverables, exclusions, milestones and dependencies. Separate known work from items that need discovery.

  3. 03

    Build and review

Review working increments and technical trade-offs. Assess the effect of new requirements on cost and delivery before adding them.

  4. 04

    Release and transfer knowledge

Check acceptance criteria, prepare deployment and handover materials, then agree on who will maintain and develop the product after launch.

What determines the cost?

To estimate the cost, we need to define the work and resolve key unknowns. We discuss pricing options once we understand your requirements.

A bounded scope may suit a fixed-price proposal. Evolving requirements may suit time and materials with budget reviews. The agreement should make assumptions, exclusions and change control explicit.

  • 01Number and complexity of user workflows and roles
  • 02Existing code quality, data migration and external integrations
  • 03Design, testing, security and operational requirements
  • 04Team composition, decision-making speed and support scope

Questions about this service

Can you take over an unfinished software project?

We can assess an existing codebase and delivery situation before proposing the next phase of work. A takeover should begin with a review of dependencies, access, tests and operational risks. We do not assume a rewrite is necessary.

How is outsourcing different from hiring dedicated developers?

In project outsourcing, the partner coordinates delivery of an agreed scope. With staff augmentation, engineers join the team you manage. If you already have technical leadership and need capacity, staff augmentation may be a better fit.

Can you give a fixed price before discovery?

We can discuss a preliminary range when there is enough information, but a meaningful fixed-price commitment needs defined deliverables and assumptions. Unclear integrations or legacy systems may require a separate discovery task first.

What happens after the software is delivered?

The agreement defines handover, ownership and any support period. Ongoing maintenance, incident response and further development need an explicit scope rather than an assumption that they are included indefinitely.
